About URSA

The University of Toronto is known to be a globally top-ranked institution with diverse and innovative research opportunities. As a UofT Student Life and Co-curricular Record-recognized student organization at both the St. George & Mississauga campuses, we are a community of undergraduate students passionate about all things research. We celebrate and highlight these opportunities in our university and beyond to fellow peers via running interactive seminars/panels, research conferences, field trips, lab tours, community outreach activities and more, as well as collaborating with other student associations, organizations, and academic research groups.

Our Mission

As the only UofT student organization centered around undergraduate research, we strive to provide a platform and voice for all current and future undergraduate researchers, connect them with experts who are leading their research fields, and be an inclusive space for beginning researchers. Through our efforts, we hope to bring our love of research and give advice to incoming and current university students, provide an understanding of what being a “researcher” means and how to navigate the challenges along the way, and be advocates who are breaking down barriers to and within the world of undergraduate research.

Awards and Recognition

We are proud to announce that URSA has been honored with the prestigious 23-24 UTSLA Principal’s Award of Excellence – a reflection of our commitment to promoting academic excellence and supporting undergraduate researchers in their pursuits.
