Below is an overview of URSA’s positions and their respective roles and responsibilities.
President
The responsibilities of the club President include setting the overall direction of the club and leading weekly meetings, securing sufficient grant funding from UofT sources for all events and programs, and ensuring the club’s renewal and recognition. The President also oversees and manages all events, programs, and projects to ensure their success, stepping in to fill gaps when necessary. Additionally, the president resolves interpersonal conflicts, approves all external collaborations, and ensures a smooth transition for the executive team for the following year.
Vice President
The responsibilities of the Vice President include helping oversee and manage all large-scale events, programs, and projects to ensure their success, stepping in when necessary. They assist in resolving interpersonal conflicts, approve all external collaborations, and ensure a smooth transition for the executive team for the following year. Additionally, the vice president fills in and helps with the president’s responsibilities whenever the president is unavailable.
Executive Advisor
The responsibilities of the Executive Advisor include helping oversee and manage all large-scale events, programs, and projects to ensure their success, filling in whenever necessary. They assist in resolving interpersonal conflicts, approve all external collaborations, and ensure a smooth transition for the executive team for the following year. Additionally, they fill in and help with the president’s responsibilities whenever the president is unavailable.
Events Director
The responsibilities of the Event Directors include helping oversee and manage all large and small scale events, programs, and projects to ensure their success, filling in whenever necessary. They are active participants in event and project discussions, pitch collaborations, and lead event execution.
Social Media Manager
The responsibilities of the Social Media Manager include managing all social media platforms and responding to message requests. They actively participate in event and project discussions, pitch collaborations, and lead event promotion efforts.
Head of Sponsorship
The responsibilities of the Director of Sponsorships include reaching out to non-UofT sources of funding. They actively participate in event and project discussions, pitch collaborations, and lead sponsorship acquisition efforts.
Communications Directors
The responsibilities of the Communication Directors include creating content for a monthly newsletter. They actively participate in event and project discussions, pitch collaborations, and lead communication strategies.
Podcast Host
The responsibilities of the Podcast Host team includes handling URSA’s podcast.
Media Contributor
The responsibilities of the Media Contributors include creating social media short-form content on a biweekly basis. They actively participate in event and project discussions, pitch collaborations, and lead content creation efforts.
Graphics Team
The responsibilities of the Graphics team include handling all aspects of graphic design for the club. They actively participate in event and project discussions, pitch collaborations, and lead visual content creation efforts.
